My sister advised me that the lentil and I would become fast friends if I were to take the path of the historian. <br /><br />Julie Rosso et al did suggest a lentil salad with walnut oil and green onions (and something else?). When in grad school I once went to the forlorn market at 115th and Broadway (whose name I can thankfully forget) to get the walnut oil.
